ASIAN BRITNEY VS S'PORE BEYOND

had to work late. so i took the opportunity to meet up with the rest for dinner before i head to work. supposed to meet jaz and clarice at boat quay but end up with hanny and beng in cityhall to wait for the gals to finish their eyebrows plucking. Andy was already waiting for us at boat quay and our late queen just barely finish one side of her eyebrow. by the time she's finished, we were all late. and her reasonings are just plain crap. and so to avoid the topic, she came up with this really amazing story. she begin to tell everyone that i look like Britney Spears.

BRITNEY SPEARS!!! siao ar???!! yah i know i ba ba, but me? britney spears? ha, my toes are laughing. i remember in one of the episodes of "police & thief" (singapore comedy drama), "lee tok kong's daughter" was singing britney spears song? oops, i did it again. and in the show, she sang off key and act like some big shot singer in a singing compeition. it always set me laughing and i begin to imitate her. "OOPs, i did it again.... keep playing your heart, got lost in A game......." as i sang merrily to them purposely singing off key.

the worst is yet to come.
after we finish our dinner at Macs, as we head down to find mitch in WU bar, a karaoke pub. and god knows who wana sabo me, went to dedicate ah mei's song for me. never mind sing lor.. as i look at the watch, i realise i am running late. (have to be at Far East plaza by ten and it's 9.30) was about to go when i everyone tell me to sing it before i go. and u guess it. on the screen :" OOPS, i did it again - BRITNEY SPEARS!!!!! TMD. i knew it must have something to do with either jaz or hanny. hmmm.... both are main suspects. can still shout: "wooo hooo, Asian version Britney Spears! wee yoooo weee"

knn. so damn embarassing!! the girls next table darted me a "u are asian britney???? then i am Madonna" look. haiz... what to do? had to sing while "my friends" start to swing with a lighter. had to pose sexy somemore. nnb.

but as the saying goes: revenge IS sweet. i manage to get mitch to play the next song for Hanny. i took a mike and say : "ladies and gentlemen, let out our hands together and welcome the ever charming SIEVE ONG! " OMG. it is supposed to be SETH ONG. become SIEVE. heheeh all the pple in the group laugh their ass off. u can see our darling SIEVE.. i mean Seth turning beetroot red as he struggled to sing the song at the same time. hehehee

my night with them ended with hanny finishing the song and calling out: "this song is specially for April Tay, our Asian Britney Spears! " more glares from the ladies again. haiz..... as i walk out of the pub seeing a guy snickering from the corner of my eye. i was beaten by prankster ong again.

Hanny> didn't mean to mispronounce your name. all i can say is : "OOPS, I DID IT AGAIN.... "
